Ok, confession time: I’m really bad about planning out my crafts. Normally I am a planning fool. I have lists for my lists. But with crafts I tend to just wing it. And I enjoy winging it. Where I come into a problem, however, is when I have to work crafts into my budget, or when I need to price something to sell. Then I’m stuck trying to find old receipts and tallying up costs I should have collected from the beginning. Historically the only crafts I’ve planned out beyond a simply sketch has been sewing projects where I needed to figure out how much fabric to buy. Since, I’ve gotten more serious about selling my stuff, I also need to get more serious about my planning.
To solve this problem I decided to create a printable craft planner. Not only does it encourage me to figure out my costs ahead of time, but it also allows me to have a uniform paper (as opposed to random scraps) to save for future reference.
